How I Work
Sessions with me can vary widely from person to person.
Creative attunement wins over formulaic processes, every time.
While there’s no one size fits all, there are some common threads that frequently run throughout my work:
Dropping into somatic awareness together in the beginning of the session, melting more deeply into the body and out of the chattering mind. This helps to focus our session.
Building a vocabulary of sensation as it’s arising in this moment.
The tightness in your diaphragm– what else do you sense there? Is there buzzing, squeezing, gripping, density, heaviness? Is there a color, a shape to it? Is there a mood or a feeling tone towards this sensation?
Discovering how these different dimensions of experience inform one another. We slow down the process to find the pause-moments of possibility, life force, power, softness, choice, care that you haven’t had access to before. You become more sensitive to the way your body-mind presents you with solutions to challenges when you’re no longer stuck in closed-loop thinking
Honing the incredible tool of curiosity as a kind of “light” that shines on our experience to help us see/feel more deeply and clearly. Over time, you become more able to weave in awareness of different aspects of experience as they unfold: bodily sensations, emotions and moods, images and memory flashes, thoughts and beliefs.
Expressing! We make physical space and time for different aspects of one’s being to express directly and make their needs known. We practice the ability to turn up and down the volume of these energies so they never overwhelm the system, but rather give you more access to joyful life energy and freedom.
Remythologizing. We open up to the mythic dimension of what’s unfolding in your life. From one angle of perspective, everyone is living in the midst of a myth, and when we can locate ourselves, we find a greater sense of meaning, purpose, and dignity.

I stand for shifting the habitual experience of fear and anxiety into the direct experience of trust.
This is not wishful thinking, this is the dynamic design of our autonomic nervous system. I am passionate about supporting folks to recognize and relax into the unmediated truth of inherent wellbeing through mindfulness training and somatic exploration

I am devoted to play and curiosity as my two main allies in healership.
I help create playgrounds and stages of consciousness where there is enough safety that all can be welcomed, expressed, and seen clearly for what it is. We are the audience, the actors, the director, and the vast radiant-dark theater of Being. When we know this, we cannot be truly stuck anymore.

I believe what we call “healing” is an opening into our ever-present wholeness
What if healing is not something we need to strive towards as a future goal, but is instead a gentle opening to see/feel/love our inherent wholeness, the full range of our expression, and our particular ways of loving this life?

I am devoted to myth, story, song, and dream as powerful vessels of transformation and alchemy.
Soul speaks back to us in the language of image and metaphor. I bow, growl, sing, and wink in deep reverence to the ancient trickster teacher of Symbol to guide us back to our deepest primordial knowing

I believe in attuning to the rhythms and cycles of the Communal Earth Body to bring us back into belonging with each other and our more-than-human kin.
I see myself as part of the team of humans humbly rediscovering what it means to be in village at this time on the planet. I believe that many of the mental health "pathologies" we are trying to medicate are symptoms of a general lack of belonging to community and to the elemental forces of our planet.
What am I Devoted to? What do I Stand For? What do I Believe?
